Welcome to the Cortex project homepage
Cortex project is a joint project-team affiliated with INRIA, CNRS, University Henri Poincaré, University Nancy 2 and INPL. We are located both at the Nancy - Grand Est research center and LORIA in Nancy (France). Our domain of research relates to computational sciences for biology, medicine and the environment with special emphasis on computational medicine and neurosciences. More precisely, the goal of our research is to study the properties and computational capacities of distributed, numerical and adaptative networks, as observed in neuronal systems. In this context, we aim to understand how complex high level properties may emerge from such systems including their dynamical aspects. In close reference to our domain of inspiration, Neuroscience, this study is carried out at three scales, namely neurons, population and cerebral region.
